If you shop at any Schnucks stores, watch your receipts carefully. More often than not, you will be overcharged.

This is especially true when something is on sale. I have even been charged ABOVE the regular price when an item was on sale. The Hampton Village store is the worst offender in my experience. The last example happened at the Culinaria.

I bought a $6 meal which was supposed to include a bag of chips and a soda. I bought a 20 oz. Coke like the picture for the meal showed, but the soda rang up separately for $1.99. As a result, I was over-charged by this amount plus tax.

The cashier called the manager, but they told her over the phone that this was not included (even though the sign showed that it was). The manager never came downstairs to check. Schnucks does not care about their customers. Why is it incumbent on the customer to make sure that they are charged correctly?

I called customer service as was told that I should go back to the store and take it up with the manager. Why is it my responsibility to do this when if they did their jobs correctly, I would not be overcharged?

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $2.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Schnucks Pros: Many locations.

Schnucks Cons: Regularly overcharged, Customer service does not respond to emails.
